UBC Moving to M365

UBC is migrating to Microsoft Exchange Online and integrating with other M365 tools and applications to enhance security, allow seamless collaboration, and improve workflows.

The migration will take place over the course of the next 12-18 months on a departmental basis, beginning with UBC IT and a number of pilot departments. More information will be provided when each departmental roll-out begins.

First Name / Last Name Email

Implementing Microsoft 365 campus-wide, requires a firstname.lastname@ubc.ca email address. Most users already have this; however, for those without one, UBC IT will create one based on the preferred name listed in Workday. Users will receive an email notification when this has been created and your primary email address will not change (all emails will be sent to existing FASmail mailbox). Moving forward, firstname.lastname@ubc.ca email address and existing CWL password will be needed to sign into any UBC Microsoft 365 applications. LEARN MORE...
