We had such an amazing evening on December 4th! Weβre so grateful to our incredible community for coming out to celebrate our past and share their thoughts on our future, especially with all the snow that fell that morning! Alessia Farris, our museum curator, opened the proceedings by sharing insights into the rich history of public library services in The Blue Mountains over the past 100 years. Ken Haigh, the inaugural CEO of the L.E. Shore Memorial Library, followed with reflections on the many challenges the early library overcame, made possible through the dedication and passion of the community. Jennifer Murley, our Library CEO, concluded by looking ahead to the future of our remarkable building, reminding us that a library is not just a place, but a vibrant and connected community. All guests were also gifted a colouring book by artist Beverley Smith, filled with illustrations dedicated entirely to our Story Tower. | Check out more photos on our Facebook page!
