Development Phase Agreement begins for

The Ottawa Hospital's new campus

The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) are pleased to announce they have signed a Development Phase Agreement with The Ottawa Hospital Build Partners to deliver a state-of-the-art new hospital in downtown Ottawa.

“Signing this agreement is an enormous milestone for the new campus project,” said Cameron Love, President and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital. “Our collaborative efforts with all of our partners will reshape the future of health care across the region for our community for generations to come.”

The new hospital is being planned and built through a progressive public-private partnership approach, designed to foster collaborative development. The Ottawa Hospital Build Partners will now work collaboratively with TOH, IO, and the Ontario Ministry of Health to finalize the design, pricing, schedule, risk parameters and project requirements for the new hospital. If the development phase is successfully completed, it is expected that TOH will enter into a fixed-price project agreement with the development partner to design, build, finance, and maintain the project.
