Neighbourhood Commercial Nodes Zoning Bylaws

Following a community engagement period, and with appreciation for the input shared by residents, Council will consider first, second, and third reading of the proposed zoning amendment bylaws related to Neighbourhood Commercial Nodes, on Tuesday, January 13, at 6 p.m.

To learn more about the bylaws proposed, including what is being considered and the Council process, visit Let’s Talk Squamish

The Report to Council and the What We Heard engagement summary will be available on January 9, 2026.

Tree Management Bylaw Review

Meaningful bylaw updates involve community input. This survey will help us decide on the height, size, and cost requirements of tree removal in the District. A Tree Management Bylaw has the potential to preserve and help foster greater tree canopy coverage in our community.

If you want to have a say in what our tree canopy looks like in the future - this survey will capture your voice and help shape changes to the Tree Management Bylaw.

Take the survey today! letstalksquamish.ca/tree-bylaw

Survey closes at 4 p.m. on January 11.
