All My Relations

Videos of the May 26, 2018 workshop Moving Forward with Reconciliation, organized by the All My Relations Working Group, are now available on our Diocesan YouTube Channel. A 9 minute highlights video providing an overview of the whole day, plus 8 other videos of the individual sessions will give you a sense of what was an inspiring and important day in our Diocese’s reconciliation journey.

The workshop program included Melanie Delva the Anglican Church of Canada’s Reconciliation Animator, Algonquin Anishnabe Elder Barbara Dumont-Hill, a Standing Stones Stones Sacred Worship (Cree) and workshops on Developing Resources for Reconciliation; Creating a Welcoming Church; Reconciliation as a Spiritual Practice; and Inuit Ministry of Ottawa – working for positive change.

Crosstalk Submission

The deadline for submission to the November edition of Crosstalk is fast approaching.

All submissions (articles, calendar notices, photographs, etc.) are due by noon on Tuesday, September 25.

Additionally, if your parish is hosting a Bazaar or Holiday Fair this year, please ensure that it's infromation is submitted by noon on Monday, October 01 to be included in the special Bazaar listing for the Diocese.

Clergy News & Updates

The Bishop's Office is pleased to announce that:

  • Rev. Alana McCord has bee appointed Assistant Curate of the Parish of Epiphany, Gloucester; effective October 01, 2018.
  • Rev. Colin McFarland has been appointed Assistant Curate of the Parishes of Trinity, Cornwall; Christ Church, Seaway; and St. John's, Lancaster; effective September 24, 2018.
  • Rev. Baxter Park has been appointed Incumbent of the Parish of Huntley; effective October 01, 2018.
  • Ven. Doug Richards has been appointed Territorial Archdeacon of Stormont; effective November 01, 2018. As previously announced, the present Archdeacon of Stormont, the Ven. Frank Kirby, has received the Bishop's permission to retire from full-time ministry and as Archdeacon effective October 31, 2018.

All members of the Diocese are welcome to join the opening Eucharist Thursday, November 01 at 7pm at Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa, where the Bishop will be delivering his Address. Members of the Diocese are also welcome to attend the business session of Synod as an oberver.

The business session of Synod will take place Friday and Saturday at the St. Elias Conference & Banquet Centre.

*Registration for all Parish Delegates (Clergy and/or Lay) is to be completed by either the Parish Administrator or the Incumbent.
