Share your precise location in an emergency with what3words

In an emergency, timely response requires accurate location information. Relaying your exact location, especially when outdoors or floating down the Sheep River, for example, can be difficult.

The Okotoks Fire Department (OFD) now supports the location-finding app what3words to help locate callers in emergency situations, allowing a quicker response. Download what3words to help the OFD #KnowExactlyWhere you are in an emergency.

Repairs at Skate Park and Disc Golf Course

Please be advised that the Skate Park, located beside the Rec Centre, will be undergoing concrete repairs beginning Tuesday, August 24. The work may take several days to complete. Portions of the park will be closed to facilitate the repairs; please watch for signage and crews and use caution while at the park.

Thank you to Disc Golf Course users for your feedback! The Town will be moving forward with pouring concrete tee boxes. This work will begin Thursday, August 26 and take approximately two days to complete. Please be aware that the tee boxes will be closed during this time to accommodate the work. The course is located in the forested area northeast of the water treatment plant.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
