Be sure to verify event details with individual parishes as well as our Diocesan Calendar, as information may change from what is published below. | | Ontario Provincial Election: Make Your Vote Count The Community Ministries of Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, in concert with work done by the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario, urges all to take action on the issues of poverty and housing. The issues in the City of Ottawa, where our Ministries are based, are not limited to one place but are experienced in many ways across the Province of Ontario. “You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land” (Deuteronomy 15:11) With a Provincial election coming June 7th, you are encouraged to learn more about the issues of homelessness and poverty, engage in dialogue about them and contribute what you can to “open wide your hand.” Homelessness can be prevented and resolved. We need political will to do it; concerted action by governments, community agencies and individual citizens; and sufficient resources to invest in meaningful solutions. What can you do? - Learn more about the issues
- Discuss issues with candidates
- Talk to people
- Vote!

Carp is one of the fastest growing, rural-fringe communities in the City of Ottawa; with a large number of new families and an increasing number of retirees as well.
