GIVE THE GIFT OF BLUE
The Town of The Blue Mountains is excited to announce the return of Give the Gift of Blue for the 3rd year. The campaign promotes shopping local during the holiday season and offers participants a chance to win four grand prizes valued at over $1000 each.

Every purchase made in the Town between December 1st and January 1st earns an entry for the grand prize draw. Submissions can be made online or ballots can be filled out with purchase information and dropped off at contest ballot boxes located at Town Hall, downtown Thornbury, downtown Clarksburg and at Blue Mountain Village.

Town staff have worked to distribute ballots and posters to local businesses. If you have not yet received promotional material, please reach out to schedule a delivery.

EVENTS FOR LIFE CAFE OPENS
The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce that Events for Life has opened the EFL Arena Café at the Beaver Valley Community Centre in Thornbury.

The Café began operations in November will be open Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., offering a variety of lunch specials, including soups and chilli, sandwiches, hotdogs, muffins, cookies, coffee and more. Staffed by participants from Events for Life Centre, the Café will provide participants with the opportunity for community work experience and to learn new service skills. All proceeds from the café are in support of Events for Life.

FREE ONLINE TRAINING WITH TYPSY
RTO7 has partnered with Typsy to provide stakeholders in BruceGreySimcoe with absolutely free online learning tailored to meet your business needs and objectives, as well as personal goals.

To be eligible to take the training, individuals must own or work for a tourism business or organization in Bruce, Grey or Simcoe County. Learn more: Free Training with Typsy


LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER FOR GEORGIAN COLLEGE MICRO-CREDENTIAL PROGRAMS

Georgian College is offering UpSkill Tourism Micro-Credential Programs scheduled to begin in January 2023. These micro-certificates are aimed at addressing critical challenges in the tourism and hospitality sector for Frontline Service and Managers & Aspiring Leaders.

The Digital Service Squad is a FREE resource to help your business build an online presence and promote and sell successfully online. The squad services all businesses in The Blue Mountains and across the South Georgian Bay region at no cost.

CANADA DIGITAL ADOPTION PROGRAM

The Boost Your Business Technology Stream is offering support to small and medium businesses in Canada to adopt new technologies. The support is in the form of grants to offset the cost of retaining Digital Advisors who will develop digital adoption plans tailored to the business. Grants of up to $15,000 are available.

Featured Event - Olde Fashioned Christmas

The Thornbury BIA is thrilled to be bringing another Olde Fashioned Christmas to Thornbury this year on Saturday December 10th, 2022 on Bruce Street!

Events run all day with the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony taking place at 5:30 p.m.
