| English will follow LE TALENT DE JEUNES ARTISTES MIS EN LUMIÈRE GRÂCE AU « DÉFI I MUSICI » Chers amies et amis d’I Musici, Même si la pandémie mondiale a ralenti les activités de tous et chacun, l’Orchestre a toujours eu comme objectif de maintenir la musique plus vivante que jamais. Parmi certaines actions en lien avec sa mission, I Musici a créé le « DÉFI I MUSICI » faisant appel aux jeunes artistes fréquentant une institution scolaire de niveau primaire, secondaire ou collégial. Le concours proposait l’interprétation sur vidéo d’une pièce libre de choix, avec ou sans accompagnement, allant d’une durée de deux à huit minutes. « Dans la vie d’un musicien, il est si important d’instaurer à son quotidien une discipline de répétitions. Comme un athlète, la musique est un muscle. C’est ainsi que les meilleurs musiciens se démarquent. Avec le « DÉFI I MUSICI », on a inspiré plusieurs jeunes à renouer avec leur instrument et peaufiner leur talent. » de souligner le chef Jean-Marie Zeitouni. Plus de cent-cinquante jeunes ont répondu à l’appel. À travers un jury composé des musiciens de l’Orchestre, nous sommes donc très heureux et très fiers de présenter les artistes qui se sont mérités les honneurs. Lors des événements, un enregistrement de haute qualité sera produit pour que chacun des solistes invités puisse en recevoir une copie. Dépendant de l’évolution du contexte actuel de la pandémie, une tournée dans les écoles pourrait voir le jour où chacun des gagnants serait amené à y participer.
