THE HALIFAX ARMDALE REPORT

HRM Seasonal Parking Restrictions

Happy Holidays Armdale!

As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you.

For students, this marks a well-deserved break after a term of hard work and dedication. To everyone enjoying a few days off during this festive season, it's a wonderful time to reconnect with family and friends and embrace the magic of winter.

With snowfall on the horizon, it's essential to ensure that you and your loved ones are prepared for the winter months. Take a moment to read some valuable information on getting ready for winter in our beloved Nova Scotia, ensuring that you navigate the season safely and comfortably.

As we gather with our families and loved ones, let's cherish the warmth and joy that the holiday season brings. Whether you're celebrating a traditional holiday or simply enjoying some well-deserved downtime, I hope this time of year fills your hearts with happiness and gratitude.

May the coming year be filled with new opportunities, continued growth, and shared moments of joy. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season, surrounded by the love and warmth of those who matter most.

Sincerely,

Seniors’ Home Safety

Community Spotlight

Black Business Initiative

Join me in celebrating 25 years of the Black Business Initiative (BBI), a pioneering force in Canadian Black business development.

Established in 1996, the BBI has evolved into a national catalyst for job creation, equitable participation, and economic prosperity. Their mission is clear - to positively influence business culture by supporting Black entrepreneurs from startup to expansion. Through a vision of a dynamic Black presence in the Atlantic Provinces' business community, they aim to foster economic independence, improve standards of living, create career opportunities for youth, and instill pride in communities.

Guided by principles of inclusion and viability, the BBI has made a lasting impact since its inception. From addressing the unique needs of Nova Scotia's Black business community to the current role as a trusted hub for business and economic development, they continue to change lives.

Celebrate, and reflect on a quarter-century of empowering Black businesses in Canada and look ahead to a future of continued growth and inclusivity.
