The PQI Alum Exchange "Everything is Better with Mayo!" is One-Week Away

We are excited to welcome you to our panel discussion via Zoom featuring Dr. Alex Hoechsmann and Dr. Jeff Kerrie (Cohort 6) along with patient partner, Terry Wilde as they share what they learned on their recent trip to the Mayo Clinic.

New Medical Leader Training:

Psychologically Safe Health Care Teams Workshop

Hosted Dr. Tom Lloyd and Dr. Dawn Martin, this workshop aims to equip new medical leaders with the skills to promote and encourage psychologically safe environments in the workplace. The workshop consists of four, 2-hour, virtual education sessions. Participants can join one of two cohorts in 2025: May or September. Medical staff members will be compensated at sessional rates while attending the workshop sessions.

Spreading Quality Improvement: Project Spotlight πŸ”¦

The SQI Penicillin Allergy De-Labelling project hosted teams from 9 South Island primary care clinics last month for its first in-person learning session. Among the attendees where 5 Alum who were able to use their QI skills to do process mapping and create driver diagrams with their teams. 

This SQI project is collaborating with the Practice Support Program (PSP) to support primary care providers and their teams learn more about penicillin allergy de-labelling, implement sustainable workflows, help assess and when appropriate de-label patients without true allergies.

Alum in attendance: Alicia Power (cohort 4), Jane McGregor (cohort 8), Sylvie Tellier (cohort 7), Sienna Bourdon (cohort 8), Victoria Cook (cohort 8).
