Montreal, March 20, 2024 - CEIM is proud to announce that it has awarded, through the Société d'Investissement Jeunesse (S.I.J.) impact fund, a total of $200,000 in funding to Landerz, a young Proptech startup specializing in the search, purchase and sale of land with high development potential.
This funding, part of a $1.5 million seed round financing round led by Accelia Capital and the Government of Quebec, through its delegate Investissement Québec, along with financial support from BDC and PME MTL, will enable the company to pursue the development and commercialization of its platform aimed at accelerating large-scale land transactions.
Co-founded in 2020 by Nadine Fournier and Simon Boyer, a keen property development enthusiast, Landerz leverages technology coupled with an innovative brokerage approach to simplify the complex land acquisition process by providing brokers, buyers and property owners with the best value-added tools, data and expertise.
The young Montreal-based startup, which today boasts the most accurate and comprehensive database of land with high development potential in Quebec, continues to experience rapid growth, creating new market opportunities in a socio-economic context and at a time when there are urgent calls to address housing challenges.
"We are honored to be able to make a modest contribution to Landerz's financing package. This is a superb example of a company that has been successful in seizing market opportunities, and in securing a strong position in the emerging Proptech sector. Their platform is a very important development tool, as it facilitates property investment, and thus, meets a profound need in the current housing context," stated Christian Perron, President and COO of CEIM.
"We're thrilled by the traction that the company has been able to generate within the past four years and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire team on this announcement which marks yet another key milestone in their growth."
