Shore) Artists Alan Glicksman, Carol Binns-Wood, Mary Linda Tait and Melissa Sherman are bringing a technicolour exhibition to The Gallery for June! The opening is June 1 from 2-4pm, and although you can see the show for the entire month of June, there are a couple things you’ll only be able to catch at the opening, like one-on-one chats with the artists and a music/art hybrid experience compliments of Alan Glicksman. Shore Library) The Museum & Archive is working with the Town to develop an online interactive map to make historical information more accessible to the public. We are inviting current and past residents to collaborate on this important and unique project with us. No matter how small you may consider a story to be, it may fill a gap in the documentation of the community’s history. Share your stories with Museum staff to have them included in the project. We had a fantastic time celebrating our first ever REEL History Film Festival. It was a great opportunity to share and appreciate our local history documentaries while also raising money to create more films that capture the unique heritage within the Town of The Blue Mountains. We want to express our gratitude to our speakers Karen Ferri, Mike King, Heather McIntyre, Stu Collier, and Tracey Strnad, as well as Eswar & Shashi Prasad and Michael Stanzione. A big thank you to Mountain Goat Film Company and everyone involved in the films. We also want to thank everyone who attended the REEL History Film Fest, especially those who came out on multiple nights. We proudly reached our fundraising goal for this five-week event. The funds raised will be used for our next two films that are currently in progress. It was a wonderful experience that we are delighted to have shared with the community.
