CHTP 2024 Image Contest Voting

Thank you to everyone who submitted entries to this year’s image competition! Four finalists have been selected, and voting is now open to all CHTP users until December 1. We invite you to visit the voting survey using the link below to vote for your favourite image.

Focus On Scientific Imaging (FOSI) Seminar Series

The FOSI seminar series, organized by UBC, aims to provide a collaborative platform for researchers at UBC who use or wish to use imaging techniques to answer their scientific questions. These talks address scientific questions and the practical aspects and methodologies of imaging equipment, offering a great networking opportunity within the UBC microscopy community.

The FOSI organizing committee is looking for volunteers to speak at upcoming seminars or to join the planning committee. If interested, please contact fosi.seminar@gmail.com.

TeamShare Cleanup

Over the past few months, CHTP staff have removed over 10 terabytes of old user data from the CHTP TeamShare server. We’d like to remind users that TeamShare is intended only for file transfer, not long-term storage. Please remember to delete data files from TeamShare once they’ve been copied to your own storage drives. Thank you for your cooperation.

CHTP Holiday Closure

As the end of the calendar year approaches, please be aware of CHTP lab closures and limited staff availability. The CHTP will be closed from December 23 through January 1, reopening on January 2. Equipment will remain available until the closure, while technician-assisted work will be available through Friday, December 13. Please plan your work accordingly. If you require technical assistance, please consult with the CHTP technician to ensure that your work is scheduled before year-end.
