UNION ORGANIZATION
Promoting the demonstration on May 22

APTS and FIQ activists are invited to help promote the May 22 demonstration on the Facebook page for the event. There, you can:

  1. Tag an APTS member or a team working in the health and social services system and say you’ll be demonstrating for them. You need to identify them using @name of their Facebook profile, and you can also explain why they deserve more than to be #paidawomanswage. You might post something like this, for instance: On May 22, I’ll be demonstrating for @name, who deserves to be paid for the true value of her expert knowledge!
  1. Use an online tool to create a meme and post it on the Facebook page for the event, adding the #paidawomanswage hashtag. We’ll put all the memes together and send them to Premier Legault.

SOCIO-POLITICAL ACTION
A day for accepting difference

The APTS socio-political action sector and the provincial gender and sexual diversity committee are proud to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Visuals have already been made available. You can encourage your members to show solidarity by suggesting they share the visuals and use this Facebook profile picture.

UNION LIFE
New reimbursement rate for kilometres travelled

Now that the Treasury Board has increased the amount paid to government employees for kilometres travelled, our reimbursement rate for kilometres travelled is $0.560 / km for the first 20,000 km and $0.495 for each additional kilometre. This rate is retroactive to April 1, 2021. The new expense claims form is available in the Activist zone and should be used from now on. Please use a separate form for each activity – that will make it easier to process your claims.
