Aéro Montréal's mission is to mobilize stakeholders in Quebec's aerospace ecosystem to support its global reach, innovation capacity and growth. | // MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT | Dear members, dear partners, On behalf of all the employees of the cluster, I offer you our best wishes for this new year. We will still have great challenges to overcome, but our collective strength will allow us to accomplish great things. In 2023, the labor shortage was a major challenge in the face of which Aéro Montréal took several impactful actions: First of all, nearly 50 members of the cluster mobilized with Aéro Montréal to continue the ambitious communication campaign aimed at attracting labor to the sector. We have stepped up our efforts to share the image of an industry in full transformation that is building inclusive and diverse work environments. A "Day on the Hill" was organized to highlight the industry's labor needs, following which Aéro Montréal, in partnership with CAMAQ, submitted a letter to the Ministry of Employment containing the industry recommendations on workforce attraction and retention. Finally, we are continuing to represent the needs of the sector through our participation in pre-budget consultations. The retrospective of the communication campaign in this newsletter demonstrates the beautiful results of a common effort. I hope we continue this work to promote the Quebec aerospace industry throughout the world! | MÉLANIE LUSSIER President AÉRO MONTRÉAL | | HOW WAS THE IDEA OF THE COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN BORN? | This campaign was initiated by the board of directors of Aéro Montréal. For the very first time in the history of the cluster, 50 companies, training centers and organizations have come together to invest in a common project: to arouse the interest of new generations and encourage them to train or enter the job opportunities offered by the sector. | WHAT WERE THE SIGNIFICANT ACTIONS OF THIS CAMPAIGN? | The Quebec aerospace sector worked with the Bleu blanc rouge agency to imagine a campaign in line with the codes of new generations: mainly digital and which focused on a playful, refreshing and friendly tone. FOR THIS PROJECT, the Branding and Promotion Committee has: ➤ Called on influencers on Tik Tok and Instagram (Farah Alibay, Massi Mahiou, Phil Lacroix and Audrey Daigneault). ➤ Focused on less conventional media, closer to new generations and young women like Urbania Magazine. ➤ Used short and dynamic formats to capture limited attention (short video portraits of workers in the sector on TVA Sports). ➤ Bet on varied digital visibility. ➤ Made sure to attract the attention of young girls and young women who might be interested in the sector (Elle Québec Magazine). Here are some examples: | WHAT WILL BE THE CONCRETE ACTIONS PROPELLED BY THE BRANDING AND PROMOTION COMMITTEE IN 2024? | In 2024, the Committee will focus on THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS: ➤ Strengthen representations of the sector to increase the visibility of the sector with the three levels of government. ➤ Generate media interest in the cluster’s strategic topics ➤ Organize an international press mission as part of the International Aerospace Innovation Forum 2024. ➤ Promote Quebec's aerospace sector to members and public opinion on a local, national and international scale. ➤ Implement a strategy to attract the next generation to all positions in the industry. | // THROUGH THE EYES OF INDUSTRY ENTHUSIASTS ::: 2023 Campaign | In spring 2023, to promote the professional opportunities available to women in the Quebec aerospace sector, Aéro Montréal shared portraits of inspiring women on social media. — ➤ DISCOVER THE 18 UNIQUE PROFILES OF WOMEN IN AEROSPACE ON LINKEDIN: | | ➤ Aéro Montréal will renew this project in March 2024 and invites you to submit applications from inspiring women in your organizations. | // THROUGH THE LENSE ::: 2023 Campaign | As part of the communication campaign, Aéro Montréal worked with TVA Sports and Dizifilms to create a TV series called AIR specifically dedicated to careers in the aerospace sector. In total immersion in the heart of the manufacturing sector, viewers were able to discover the daily lives of enthusiasts in our sector and the professional opportunities linked to it. — ➤ DISCOVER THE EPISODES: | MELOCHE GROUP - View HERE | AIRBUS CANADA - View HERE | Bell Textron Canada – View HERE | // IN THE MEDIA ::: 2023 Campaign | Still as part of the campaign, different media were used to promote the Quebec aerospace industry in the eyes of the general public. From ELLE Québec magazine to Urbania, Radio-Canada, TVA and La Presse, the visibility of the sector was omnipresent in 2023. | Efforts will continue in 2024 with the publication of a special report on Aerospace in La Presse entitled Les métiers d’avenir, scheduled for publication on January 30th. We need your support to enable it to see the light of day. ➤ BY PURCHASING AN AD IN THIS SPECIAL REPORT FILE, you can allow the cluster to highlight, once again, the professional opportunities and training offers available in the sector. | // INDUSTRY NEWS :: The latest news about the Québec aerospace industry. | POLYTECHNIQUE MONTRÉAL OPENS ITS DOORS TO YOU! » Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come and meet our team to learn all about our engineering program (bachelor's degree), our graduate programs (DESS, master's degree, doctorate), our undergraduate certificate programs and microprograms.
