Meet our New Engagement Leader, Ashley Clark!

Please join us in welcoming Ashley Clark to the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council!

Ashley will be supporting PVN through her work with patient and health care partners on Vancouver Island. She's covering a maternity leave for Kira Tozer, who will be back in 2020.

Ashley is looking forward to bringing together patient partners and care providers in her new role. She says: "I hope that helping people connect in this way will allow us all to see each other as equals, rather than being separated by our titles (position or diagnoses), which will help create meaningful and transformative conversations."

Introducing Ashley Clark, PVN Engagement Leader!

We love this idea and we're glad to have Ashley on the team!

As with past years, Quality Forum 2019 has been self-assessed as Patients Included, which means that it met five clauses that ensure the patient experience will be incorporated. Among its commitments, the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council is sponsoring the attendance of 20 PVN patient partners who were chosen through an engagement opportunity.

If you'd like to attend, registration is now open! There will be many ways for you to join the online conversation if you’re unable to attend the Forum, such as following and using the hashtag #QF19 on social media and watching some presentations live on the Council’s Facebook page. Presentations will be available online after the event.

"What Matters to You?" Posters for Patients and Providers

On the 6th of every month, we celebrate the success of the "What Matters to You?" initiative. Our resources for both patients and providers that help promote this important question have been downloaded and ordered across the province!

One of our most recent resources was created for health care providers to share how they ask patients what matters to them. It's great for doctors' offices, hospital rooms and more!

Check out the most recent "What Matters to You?" resources!

We'd love to hear your "What Matters to You?" story! This year, we are collecting 100 stories about this initiative so please tell us about your experience! How did this question affect the way you received or gave care?

Share your story.
