Coquitlam’s Streamlined Official Community Plan
Learn More and Share your Feedback Starting November 5

The Official Community Plan, which guides land use in Coquitlam, has been streamlined into a clearer document that’s easier for residents and businesses to use. Learn more at our info sessions November 6 to 20, and give us your feedback on the draft document through our online survey November 5 to December 3.

This interim document does not introduce any new policies or identify any new areas for growth. A more comprehensive review and update of the OCP is anticipated to begin in 2027.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
