Newsletter Table of Contents Networking in Summer Networking is one of the best ways to get into the hidden job market, such as hearing about jobs before they are advertised. These are a few free and low-cost networking events around Vancouver that are always taking place. They make it easy to meet likeminded individuals, and get to know the industry you're planning a career in. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn from Statistics Canada! | Spanish-Speaking Building Service Worker Training | Un nuevo programa: New Building Service Worker Training We have a new training available to those with limited English skills. This is a program which prepares participants for work as a janitor, caretaker and heavy-duty cleaner. There are also supports in place for Spanish-speaking individuals. This fully-funded training program offers participants the chance to get a more in-depth look at the job search process within these industries and creating a successful application for these roles. A few highlights involves understanding the Employment Standards Act., WorkSafeBC, and Legal Aid. Program topics covered: - Workplace expectations and professionalism
