PVN Pulse Check

We asked, you told us what’s working and what could be improved. It’s been over a year since we updated the Patient Voices Network processes and through a survey, focus groups and interviews, you told us how things are going. Here’s what’s you told us:

  • The changes made to connect partners directly is working well for people.
  • There has been a noticeable reduction in opportunities available from health care organizations through PVN.
  • Orientations to PVN and partner roles could be improved to better prepare people to be ready for involvement together.
  • Increase the visibility of the Health Quality BC team to support engagement in BC.
  • The RSVP process is redundant at times.
  • Expand existing tools and learning options that support people to build their internal confidence for engagement.

We thank everyone for responding – your feedback is so valuable and helps make us stronger.

Introducing the New Look at Patient Voices Network

Many of you have told us that it’s important to see how PVN is connected to Health Quality BC (HQBC) and the current look didn't really do that. As a result, we worked to understand your feedback and reimagine the look and feel of the PVN logo and colours to better reflect the importance HQBC places on your commitment to being a part of improving health care in BC. Over the next month, we will continue to update all resources and tools you have relied on to help you in your engagement efforts.

Shared Goals, Shared Solutions:
Co-Production in Health Care Workshop

Are you a leader tasked with solving complex problems related to the health care system? Learn how health care and community leaders can collaborate with shared goals and purpose to improve health care. Co-production means both health care providers and the community work together to find solutions and make decisions. This ensures that health care meets the needs and priorities of the people it serves. Embracing these principles helps build real community partnerships based on trust, respect and common goals.
