VMware Free for Personal Use

VMware Workstation Pro and Fusion Pro are now free for personal use, which includes academic, teaching, research and instructional lab use. Users no longer need to request keys from UBCO IT with the latest release of Workstation Pro 17 and Fusion Pro 13 and can download software directly. LEARN MORE...

DON'T FORGET! IT On/Offboarding

Please remember, ALL employees, including student hires and teaching assistants, need to have the UBCO IT Onboarding form AND the UBCO IT Offboarding form submitted when they join/leave the department. This is the only way to ensure they have access to the IT accounts and access they need, AND ensure this access is removed when they leave.

Studios Loans Fall Hours

UBC Okanagan Studios offers video and sound equipment to students, staff and faculty at no cost. Regular hours resume as of September 3, 2024 with equipment check-out available Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM or by appointment.

Windows 11 Auto- Update

REMINDER: Starting August 5, UBCO IT will enable an automated update from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on targeted IT managed devices.

The upgrade will happen automatically, and you can continue working on your device as normal while the initial software installation begins. You do not need to take any action to initiate the upgrade. LEARN MORE...

Legacy SIS Going Offline

UBC will transition from the Student Information System (SIS) to Workday Student as its primary System of Record for student data. On September 1, 2024 the Student Information System (SIS) will go offline with read-only access until the end of the 2024 Winter Session. LEARN MORE...

  • Okanagan Campus ARTS Building Network Switch Upgrade
    August 24, 2024 |09:00-11:00 PT | ARTS Building, UBCO

    • Okanagan campus network in the Arts Building will undergo network maintenance on August 24, 2024, 09:00-11:00 PT. During the maintenance, voice, data and wireless services will be periodically unavailable in the building. Occupants have received advance notice of this maintenance.
