CCP: An Annual Registration Requirement

LPNs are reminded to ensure that they have completed their annual Continuing Competence Program (CCP) learning goals prior to registering for their license.  Each year on your registration form you are requested to acknowledge your compliance and understanding of this program as part of the registration process.

Continuous learning is an expectation of all LPNs across Canada as stated in the Standards of Practice for LPNs in Canada and the Code of Ethics for LPNs in Canada

Several resources are available to help you comply with this program, including a webinar and short "how-to" video.  You can find all of our CCP resources HERE.

Fact Sheet: Medical Directives

Recently we have been receiving questions regarding Medical Directives and whether LPNs are able to take medical directives.  In response, we have created this fact sheet to help LPNs and employers understand the requirements and authorizations for medical directives.
