Westshore Chamber Mixer: Community Engagement 

We were thrilled to welcome many local business owners and entrepreneurs to our campus as part of the WestShore Chamber of Commerce's "Membership Mixer." Guests were treated to delicious Hors d' oeuvres while hearing from Pearson leadership staff while mixing and mingling overlooking Pedder Bay.

Escaping the Northwest Territories Wildfires

Second-year student Kira (YR 49/2024, Canada-NWT) shared her family's story of evacuating from the Yellowknife-area wildfire just before returning to campus with news media across B.C., including this article in the Times Colonist newspaper. (We're happy to report that everyone is okay!) In her interviews, Kira also touched on how climate change is exacerbating natural and man-made disasters such as forest fires. Read more

Shining Bright at the World Schools Debating Championships

This summer, recent alum Annushka (YR 48/2023, Canada-BC) took home the prestigious "World's Best Speaker" title at the 2023 World Schools Debating Championships in Vietnam. She will continue to shine as she prepares to study at Harvard this fall. Congratulations Annushka!

UWC Canada Meet Ups: A Great Way to Connect!

Some of our incoming students took to our campus early as part of UWC Canada's Meet Up over the August long weekend just as our first reunion wrapped up. Incomers also had the chance to take part in a meet-up in Vancouver and Saskatoon early in the year.
