2024 Draft Budget Available

The 2024 Draft Budget is now available on the Town’s website. Following a series of special meetings in January, Town staff incorporated the direction provided by Council. To keep residents informed and provide an opportunity for the public to address Council directly, a Public Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Residents are also welcome to submit an email or letter that will be read aloud by the Town Clerk.

Following the Public Meeting, Town Staff will prepare a report that will be presented at the March 18 Committee of the Whole meeting outlining the comments received at the Public Meeting. Council will consider this input while reviewing and making adjustments to the budget. The adoption of the 2024 Budget, along with the revised Fees & Charges By-laws, is expected to take place on April 2, 2024. To view the draft budget and the proposed Fees & Charges By-laws, please visit the Town’s Budget webpage.

Craigleith Community Park Survey

Over the past several years, the Town has strategically acquired six hectares of parkland in Craigleith from the Windfall, Second Nature, and Blue Vista development sites. The intent is to transform the land into a regional community park for all to enjoy.

To launch the project, the Town has started to identify infrastructure necessary for planned improvements, such as parking and public washrooms, and will be consulting with residents and the broader community to hear what recreational and natural elements will best serve residents.

Share your vision by letting us know what features and amenities would help you get the most out of the future Craigleith Community Park. Survey open until February 26, 2024.
