Budget Information Night

The District would like to thank all members of the public who attended this week's Budget Information Night!

Public engagement is how we understand each other’s values, and these values help us identify needs within the community.

There's still time to weigh in on the proposed 10-Year Financial Plan! Budget feedback will be shared with Council in our We Heard Report on Tuesday, December 17 in the Special Business Meeting.

Contribute to the budget discussion at letstalksquamish.ca/budget-2026

Tree Management Bylaw Review

We’re looking for community input!

The District is reviewing its tree management bylaw to align with the latest best management practices and the community’s environmental stewardship values.

We invite everyone to share their values and preferences related to tree protection, removal, and replacement requirements.

Comments can be submitted at letstalksquamish.ca/tree-bylaw.

Neighbourhood Nodes Survey

Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to attend our Neighbourhood Nodes events or share input through the online survey. We know these conversations matter to the community, and we’re listening.

We’ve heard a wide range of questions about the proposed neighbourhood commercial zoning changes along The Boulevard, so we’ve put together an FAQ to respond to the themes and concerns that have come forward.

The online survey has been extended and is open until December 14. If you haven’t shared your thoughts yet, there’s still time to add your voice. All feedback from the survey, open houses and written comments will be pulled together in a What We Heard report coming in January. This report will guide the final draft of the proposal that goes to Council.
