Digital Feelings: Celebrating Youth Expression Through Animation and Filmmaking

Discover the power of storytelling through digital art at this community showcase of youth-created animation.

The evening will feature a keynote by Tom Strnad of the South Georgian Bay Media Association, opening remarks from BMPL CEO Jennifer Murley, and a screening of youth-created films exploring emotion, identity, and creativity. Come support the next generation of digital creators and see how public libraries help bring stories to life. Part of our 30th Anniversary speaker series.

Get creative and design your own tote bags in this hands-on workshop with Jennifer Wabegijig. Screen print a tote bag using one of her original designs, then get a chance to experiment on a second bag with stamps, found objects, and textures to make your own unique patterns. Perfect for exploring printing techniques and having fun with colour and design.

Join local author Sean Dolan as he shares his new thriller "The Prophet of Frogs Hollow", set in Meaford and the Georgian Triangle. The novel follows a rescue mission inside a dangerous cult and explores how people are drawn in, why they stay, and what it takes to leave.

Dolan will talk about his writing process, the real-world inspiration behind the story, and the local settings woven throughout the book.

Mosiac Christmas Trees

Holiday Mosaic Tree Workshop with Patti Di Florio

Get into a creative holiday mood with a hands-on mosaic workshop. Participants will design and build a shimmering mosaic tree using glass pieces and a pre-cut wooden base, with guidance and tips along the way. Patti will walk you through arranging your design, nipping glass, and finishing your piece with grout so you can take home a polished decoration.

All materials are provided and no experience is needed. Space is limited and payment is required to confirm your spot.

Letters to Santa is BACK

It’s that magical time of year! From November 22 to December 13, visit the Letters to Santa Station at L.E. Shore to write your holiday letters. In partnership with the Imagination Studio, you can pick up a beautiful letter template created by local artist, Ashley Green, write your wishes, then drop your letter in the bright red North Pole Mailbox...and Santa will write back!

Be sure to include your first and last name, and your grown-up’s email so Santa can let you know when your reply is ready.  Don’t miss out, this program wraps up at our Very Vintage event on December 13.

Reserve Your Canvas

Create the New Teen Zone Sign

November 19, 2025 to January 14, 2026

Teens are invited to help design a new sign for L.E. Shore. Starting November 19, you can register to pick up 1 of 8 canvases, each with a letter that will spell out “TEEN ZONE.” Take your canvas home and decorate it in your own style — paint, collage, 3D elements, buttons, anything you like — as long as the letter stays visible. Return your finished canvas by January 14 and it will become part of a permanent display.
