The Western Toad Migration has already hit Covenant Trail

Western toadlets are ON THE MOVE into the upland forests above Garibaldi Springs. During this monumental migration they travel east, following the Thunderbird Creek drainage (see map below).

As they migrate into the forest and onto the nearby trails, the toadlets are extremely sensitive to disturbance. This makes our responsible use of trails critical to their survival. They are so numerous, tiny and camouflaged, it is impossible to use these trails without crushing them.

Please support local western toad populations by making alternative trail choices until the end of migration.
