Smell Vancouver, a project of IRES’s Dr. Amanda Giang and colleagues, has updates!

Their latest Monthly Sniff had 50 odour logs over the month of June, up from 27 and 23 and April and May. Garbage, decaying animal, and sewage were their most common smell descriptors. Summer conditions (heat, humidity, open doors and windows) can enhance the production of some stinky smells, or allow odours to travel further and linger longer. During the heat wave, they saw an uptick in odour logs.”
