- The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must include a title, introduction/background, research objective, methods, results, and conclusion.

Course Opportunities Recommended Course Opportunities: PATH 548L (3 CREDITS) - EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN & CONSIDERATIONS FOR DATA COLLECTION, PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION (Runs Apr – June) This course will provide students with insight about study design, data collection, data presentation, data analysis, and data interpretation. Course Coordinators: Dr. Helene Cote & Dr. Andrew Roth Course Objectives: - Design a study and an analysis plan
- Identify sources of error, variability, and bias
- Present data transparently and informatively
- Perform simple statistical analyses using statistical software
- Read the scientific literature critically

This one is designed for faculty members with some existing experience supervising graduate students, but open to all interested, eligible faculty members. Managing Effective Relationships with Your Graduate Students Monday, January 22, 2024 3pm – 4:30pm Zoom Register to attend by Friday, January 19, 2024. A calendar invite with Zoom details will be sent to all confirmed registrants. In this interactive session, we will share resources to help refine supervision practices for seasoned faculty members. This will include a framework to guide deeper and more meaningful supervisor and graduate student relationships and space for you to reflect on your supervisory practices to date. The session is designed for faculty members with some existing experience supervising graduate students, but open to all interested faculty and postdoctoral fellows. Topics will include: - A review of the basics: principles of excellent supervision, expectations regarding progress tracking, etc.
- Self-reflection: what do you want to change? what might you want to do better?
- Complex case management
- Key resources: including mentorship and coaching opportunities available for faculty, as well as other resources and supports for all faculty, staff and students
