A revamped and up-to-date website for Aviateurs.Québec

We are currently working with our supplier Viglob on a facelift for our website. Don't worry, our home page will look better than the one we show you. We don't want to show you everything right away!

Our goal is to improve the user experience by making access to the site more user-friendly and attractive and to make a few additions for your benefit:

  • The most interesting change is certainly the incorporation of a functionality where it will be possible to create and manage a microsite. Each microsite will have its own web address (URL). This will allow associations who wish to easily put online and manage a site that will be theirs. For corporate members who do not have their own site, we can also offer them this functionality at a lower cost.
  • A revamped shop.
  • Addition of photo album.
  • An improved documentation center.
  • Integration of the Zoom application in the Events module. This addition will allow us to put Zoom training online where participants will register on our website. We will be able to increase the level of security and meet certain Transport Canada requirements for validation of knowledge update session.
  • Integration of the Cyberimpact application, the application that we use to prepare and distribute our newsletter.

Be on the lookout, it's coming.

Portrait of aviators from Quebec: Martin Rousseau

An avid * maniac * of aviation.

Pilot, industrial designer, manufacturer of remote-controlled aircraft kits, amateur builder and owner of MR Aerodesign, https://mraerodesign.securicom.ca/en/

Martin Rousseau, an aviation enthusiast and maniac.

Martin fell into the little aviation pot, thanks to his bush pilot uncle. After training in Aeronautical Manufacturing at the École Nationale d'Aérotechnique (ENA) and pilot training at the Center québécois de formation aéronautique (CQFA), Martin first distinguished himself in the world of aviation for his models remotely controlled aircraft. These are purchased all over the planet.

A pilot training school settles in Mont-Laurier

A fresh start for Delco Aviation Ltée

In operation since the mid-1970s, Delco Aviation Ltée and its new owners are restarting their activities.

Indeed, Nancy Isabelle and Robert D'astous acquired the company last August from Mr. Jean Heppel and are now ready to start their operations.

Well known for its seaplane activities at its base in Commodore de Laval, the partners chose Mont-Laurier as their main base.

Even if Delco transported many tourists to the great outdoors of the north with its fleet of seaplanes, the new owners have bet on a flight school to relaunch the business.

With Robert D'astous as pilot and instructor, the training will begin around mid-July, as evidenced by Mr. D'astous "We have been waiting for Transport Canada inspection of our main base for several weeks, everything else of our documents is already approved. Due to the pandemic, inspection was not possible. Fortunately, my Transport Canada inspectors have confirmed their visit and we are confident to launch our activities in the coming days. We chose Mont-Laurier to settle in and we are delighted with the welcome we received from the managers of the local airport. The city of Mont-Laurier is investing several hundred thousand dollars in updating the facilities and we are proud to join them. We start in 2020 by setting up our flight training unit and if everything goes as we want, the tourist cruise operations on a seaplane that made the name of Delco famous will come back in 2021. I was lucky to share the passion of the instructor who trained me to become the pilot instructor that I have become thanks to him and I now hope to be able to share this passion, in my turn, with my new students and clients. For a 48-year-old guy like me, we don't become an instructor to work our hours in order to apply for a large carrier, we become an instructor for love of the profession and aviation in general. ” I had the chance to share the passion of the instructor who trained me to become the instructor pilot that I became thanks to him and I now hope to be able to share this passion, in my turn, with my new students and clients.
