Events & Festivals in Kitsilano

West 4th BIA is hosting its 8th annual Khatsahlano Street Party

The first music and art festival that took place on West 4th was organized with Woodstock in mind and was tied to its 40th anniversary in 2007. Since the first one, every West 4th street festival commences with the First Nations blessing to honour the man who gave his name to the area and the event; Chief August Jack Khatsahlano was a Squamish medicine man and was instrumental in the recording of his people’s, area history and traditions. The festival pays tribute to the First Nations that inhabited this area for over three thousand years.

Kitsilano Community Centre Association will be at the Party with their Fortune Spinning Wheel and Treasure Chest for the kiddies while providing information about the Centre and it's programs and activities.

KITS FEST - TWO DATES: Sat, Aug 10, 2019 – 11am-6pm and Sun, Aug 11, 2019 – 11am-4pm

Once again, Kitsilano CC will be hosting and running the Family Fun Zone down by Kits Beach! Come join us for a weekend of fun activities – inflatables, live music, a dance party, performances, demos from our talented instructors, arts and crafts, games and so much more!
