MyRoad Core Training and Mentoring Program

Fall 2026 Cohort

Registration is now open for the Fall 2026 cohort of the Fundamentals Level of the MyRoad Core training and mentoring program. 

Designed for trainees and early career investigators, this program provides an overview of the current concepts in research in obesity, diabetes and cardiometabolism while also helping participants develop basic knowledge and skills needed to carry out research in these fields.

Funding Opportunities to Support Your Training and Research

MyRoad General Travel Award Competition

The MyRoad General Travel Award Competition is back! These awards support participation in national and international conferences and scientific meetings.

There are three application deadlines each year. The upcoming deadline is:

September 15, 2026 for events taking place between December 2026 and March 2027

Health Research Exchange Awards

Interested in gaining experience with another research team? There is still time to apply for the Health Research Exchange Awards which provide funding of up to $5,000 or $10,000 to support research exchanges and training opportunities in a different research environment.

In collaboration with CIRTN, MyRoad is planning a pre-conference training event for trainees at the Diabetes Canada/CSEM Professional Conference 2026.

MétaboliQc 2027

February 4–6, 2027, Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec

MyRoad will host a pre-conference workshop and a group mentoring session as part of the MétaboliQc Conference.
