HIGH TRAFFIC IN THE STREETS ON WEEKENDS

The City is aware of the problems associated with the heavy traffic of pedestrians and cyclists during the sunny days of the weekend. We ask the SPVM to ensure frequent monitoring and remain in constant communication with them, but have no control over their availability and their activities. The municipal patrol, on the other hand, does not have the authority to enforce social distancing measures, but only municipal by-laws.

The municipal patrol ensures compliance with the parking limit of 30 minutes maximum on rue Sainte-Anne as well as the closure of the Promenade du canal, parks and play modules.

We continue to work closely with the SPVM to enforce distancing as much as possible and ask everyone for your understanding and cooperation.

To report a situation that contravenes distancing measures, the SPVM asks citizens to fill out a report on their website. This online report will be processed according to emergency priorities.

No decision has yet been made regarding the day camps and other activities, as well as the opening of the municipal pool. We are analyzing the situation and will follow the government's recommendations.

SPRING CLEANING - DATE TO BE CONFIRMED

The spring cleaning - the special collection of bulky waste (furniture, building materials, electronic devices, etc.) - was initially planned for the weeks of May 18 and 25. We are currently evaluating the possibility of collecting on these dates and will communicate more details on May 11.
