This will assist Council as upcoming financial decisions are made. Budget discussions for the 2026-35 Financial Plan are as follows: - Nov 25 - Council will discuss Special Operating Projects and the Capital Plan.
- Dec 2 – Council will review Utility Fees and Charges for Water, Wastewater and Solid Waste Utilities.
- Dec 9 – Council will review all aspects of the budget prior to the public info night.
- Dec 10 – The public is invited to our annual Budget Information Night from 6-8 p.m. This year’s event will be held at the Howe Sound Inn, and will include a facilitated discussion with Council and the public.

Increases to one area of the budget must therefore be balanced with either new revenue streams, or decreased spending in another area. A transgender flag raising ceremony was held at Municipal Hall with remarks from District of Squamish Council and Pride Squamish. The flag will remain in place through November 20, Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to honour the memories of those whose lives were lost as a result of transgender violence. A Repair Café event is designed for the community to meet and bring their broken possessions to be fixed by a group of local volunteers.
