Transportation Project Updates from the City of Chilliwack

LED Streetlight Conversion

Last year, Council approved a budget to begin converting existing City-owned streetlights to LED. These will match newly installed City-owned streetlights, reduce maintenance costs and conserve energy.

Prest Road Widening

Work to relocate utilities will continue through to February 2021 as part of the Prest Road upgrade project between Highway 1 and McGuire Road.

Alder-Webb Connector

Teskey Hillside Connector

Excavation for the new road connection began in December and will continue early into the new year. Expect short duration intermittent delays on Teskey Way, Monday to Friday from 9 am – 3 pm.
