Call for Applications: 2026 Knowledge Translation Graduate Student Awards

The National Collaborating Centres for Public Health (NCCPH) Knowledge Translation (KT) Graduate Student Awards recognize students’ work in public health in Canada.

The NCCPH will award three prizes of $1500. Award winners will use these funds to register for and attend the Canadian Public Health Association’s annual conference, Public Health 2026, in Montreal (March 11-13, 2026).

Award winners will also present their KT research projects to public health networks during the conference. The application deadline for the awards is December 1, 2025. Apply here.

4th Annual Healthy Cities Conference
November 12 - 14, 2025

The fourth annual Healthy Cities Conference will be held virtually and registration is free. The program, registration and more information can be found here: The Fourth Annual Health Cities Conference - SMART.

This year’s focus is on lessons learned since the 1986 Ottawa Charter and priority setting for the next 25 years of Healthy Cities. Please share with your networks!

New Health Canada indoor air publications

Health Canada has finalized the publication of "Guidance on Improving Indoor Air Quality in Office Buildings". This replaces the 1995 “Indoor air Quality in Office Buildings: A Technical Guide”.

Alongside this guidance, Health Canada has developed an additional document titled “Guidance for indoor air quality professionals” which provides technical guidance for air quality. It is meant to be applicable to many indoor environments in addition to office buildings.
