The Active Living Market hosts a variety of organizations and local businesses that promote and provide active living and recreational activities in our community. The market provides a one stop shop for people of all ages to sign up and learn about programs, activities and special events in our community. Learn more about Generation Health Community | | Choose to Move - Prince George Choose to Move is a 3 month social and motivating group program which assists older inactive adults to become more physically and socially active. Each person establishes their own appropriate physical activity routine that works for them based on their goals, interests and current abilities. During this program, we will meet as a group 8 times to learn about nutrition, physical activity, social supports, stress management and other topics. Participants will receive ongoing support from their Activity Coach and group members to help support them over the 3 months. The program is FREE. Although not required, you can secure a spot for a private event at a popular park by booking it in advance. Please note: we do not monitor events booked in outdoor spaces. Parks are always open and are welcome for public use. You can reserve a park space for private events such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, reunions, or larger community events. Park rental fees as well as rules and regulations are available on our website.
