Site Activity

What's new on site?

We are pleased to report that the delivery of pre-load materials is now complete. This phase of work was a significant undertaking, requiring many stages of coordination. In order to minimize impacts to the community and travelling public, the materials were barged to nearby water access and then trucked a short distance to site.

With the first stage of pre-load settled, work is now underway to distribute the pre-load throughout the site. As illustrated in the photo above, rock trucks (large dump trucks) are used to move the pre-load around the site quickly and efficiently, minimizing the amount of equipment required on site.

Project Features

Sustainability

The Project includes many sustainable features and is being built to LEED and Envision Gold Standards. The most recent edition of Innovation, a publication by the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC highlights important engineering considerations for the Project, including energy generation, recovery and construction methodology considering the constraints of the small site.
