THE MESSAGE IS REPEATED - IT NEEDS TO BE KNOWN.

TWO COMMON FREQUENCY USAGE AREAS WITHIN 50 NAUTICAL MILES OF MONTREAL ARE NOW IN EFFECT.

FORGET 126.7 IN THESE AREAS.

The zones are shown in the image above. The two areas extend from the ground up to 5,500 ASL (elevation above sea level) and are separated by the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.

The frequency of CFA Montréal-Nord is 122.1 MHz.

The frequency of CFA Montréal-Sud is 122.575 MHz.

You fly in the Montreal area or plan to do so, you must consult the aeronautical information circular 14/22 by clicking on the following links. Your safety and that of other users of this airspace depends on it.

Survey - cancellation of the reunion dinner

Unfortunately, ticket sales are not as expected and the profitability of the event is uncertain. Our financial room to manoeuver as an NPO being very slim, we cannot risk a financial loss that would jeopardize the essence of our mission which is to promote general aviation and aviation safety. The Board of Directors has therefore decided to cancel the June 4 event.

To help us examine the reasons that may have affected this lack of enthusiasm, we would be grateful if you would complete the short survey that follows.

SURVEY

Your intervention will be very useful for us to plan a next event with a new formula which will, we hope, arouse the interest of a greater number.

Thank you for your collaboration and we hope to see you at our next events.

Aviators.Quebec Insurance Plan

DO YOU OWN A CESSNA, PIPER, MOONEY TYPE AIRPLANE?

IS YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE ABOUT TO EXPIRE WITHIN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS?

If you answered YES to these two questions, you owe it to yourself to give us a try, without any obligation on your part.

You don't need to sign a transfer letter, there's no market lock-in, and you don't have to give exclusivity to SIERRA.

Jeunes en vol - APPH Saint-Jean

Congratulations to the APPH Saint-Jean for organizing this event and to all the volunteers who contributed to its success. More than 200 young people were able to have their first flight.

Jean-Pierre Bonin, our faithful collaborator, was able to document the good times of this day with a master hand and his seasoned eye.

You can check out his album HERE

Closure of Les Cèdres Airport (CSS3)

On May 22, the runway lights at Les Cèdres airport went out for the last time.

Aviateurs.Québec salutes all those who have contributed to the operations of this airport and its flight school. Hundreds of pilots have earned their pilot's license there and have contributed in their own way to the development of aviation both in Quebec and in Canada.

We are saddened to see that the offer of flight training for young and old has just decreased again in the greater Montreal area. Not enough to help the next generation!

May 28: BobDog 2022 - Matane airport

You are invited to Matane for the BobDog 2022. We are resuming the tradition after two years of inactivity.

It takes place on May 28 from 10:00 a.m. at Matane airport.

Photo Contest 2022

Congratulations to Nathalie Fortin, winner of the May 2022 round. She wins her choice of a $55 credit for a membership renewal, a cap or a polo shirt.

The 2022 contest is back! And, we have a new pricing structure:

  • Monthly price: $55 credit applicable towards a membership renewal, a cap or a polo shirt.
  • Annual price:
    • First prize: $150 gift certificate + trophy
    • Second: $100 gift certificate + trophy
    • Third prize: $50 gift certificate + trophy

You can now send us photos by writing to us at photos@aviateurs.quebec

You have until June 30 at 10:00 p.m. to send us your photos.

On the subject of photo resolution… most “smart” phones take photos in acceptable resolution and even “high” resolution. But often, the email software used is set to send only low resolution previews. This can be corrected by the user… You can also go through a manipulation by copying the photo and pasting it into the message. It is also possible to use WeTransfer, MailDrop from Apple, Google Drive in Gmail or OneDrive from Microsoft.

THE IMPORTANT is:

  • Give a TITLE to the photo
  • Give the full NAME of the PHOTOGRAPHER
  • Give YOUR full NAME
  • Give your member NUMBER (IN RULE).

For the rest, we will consider that you have read and accepted the rules when you participate...

Contest rules are HERE
