Access Property Tax and Utility Notices Online

Property owners are encouraged to create a MyCity account to access Property Tax and Utility notices online.

With MyCity, residents can:

  • View account information.
  • Sign up to receive Property Tax and Utility notices by email.

Please note utilities and property tax balances cannot be paid through the District's online services.

How to create an account:

  • Go to login.my.squamish.ca.
  • Log in using your existing Squamish Recreation and Culture registration account.
  • If you do not have an existing Squamish Recreation and Culture Registration login click on “Create an Account” and follow the prompts.

Quarterly Key Projects Update

The District of Squamish continues to advance major infrastructure and facility projects to support our growing community.

A Quarterly Key Projects Update was presented to Council at the Special Business Meeting on May 6, and included information and progress reports on Brennan Park Recreation Centre, splash park construction, the Valleycliffe Child Care Centre, X̱wún̓eḵw Park sea dike construction and more.

Evolve E-Bike Share

You may have noticed BCAA’s Evolve E-Bike Share is now available in Squamish. This new partnership marks an exciting milestone, offering the community a more flexible and sustainable transportation option.

There are 75 electric bikes at convenient locations across town, including the Mamquam Blind Channel boardwalk, the Squamish Public Library, and the Adventure Centre. As the program rolls out, expansion to new locations may be considered based on community interest and usage.

Bear Smart Community

The Conservation Officer Service has received reports of black bear activity in the Smoke Bluffs area, particularly around the Free and Easy crag. A bear has been seen accessing unattended climbers’ bags and food.

As bears emerge from hibernation, they’re actively searching for food. Let’s all do our part to keep wildlife wild and our trails safe.

Kids' Clothing, Toy, and Book Swap

When: Saturday, May 24
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Brennan Park Recreation Centre

The perfect time to donate some clothes, purge those outgrown toys and add a few more books to the collection.

Bagged clothes, toys, and books can be dropped off in advance at Brennan Park Recreation Centre on:

• May 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.
• May 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. (no later)

Citizen Satisfaction Survey

The District of Squamish is conducting a Citizen Satisfaction Survey to hear from a cross-section of residents about how they are doing, and how the District is doing when it comes to our programs and services. 

This survey has been sent to a random sample of residents across all Squamish neighbourhoods. If you did not receive a survey in the mail, we invite you to complete a community-wide digital version, available at letstalksquamish.ca/citizen-satisfaction-survey.

Please consider taking the time to provide your feedback that will help inform District Council strive to best meet the needs of all Squamish citizens.

 

Steam Room Update

District staff have secured a contractor to complete the work required to re-open the steam room. This work includes removing and replacing the existing steam room bench tiles.

A construction permit application is underway and subject to Vancouver Coastal Health approval.

Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of June. Thank you for your continued patience as we work through this process.

Our LEAP (Learning through Exploration, Activity, and Play) Camps run for two hours a day with an educational focus, helping little ones get used to being away from their parent(s) or caregiver(s) and begin learning routines independently. LEAP Camps support the development of movement skills, healthy habits, positive behaviours, and confidence. Register here!

Note: Children must be able to use the washroom independently to attend.
