Let's Talk Te'tuxwtun
Te’tuxwtun is a land and community enhancement project looking to develop 5.8 acres from three existing properties into ecologically balanced outdoor space, housing, services, education and amenities. It aims to understand, respect and heal the land so that the housing, education, recreation and accessible services created will benefit all now and in the future.
Phase I of Engagement for the Te’tuxwtun project has officially wrapped up! The What We Heard report summarizes insights gained in Phase I through an online community survey, Community Circle Conversations with community members and organizations and dialogue with tenants of Sanala, the BC Housing development currently situated on Te’tuxwtun lands.
The What We Heard report shares:
- How we've effectively reached the greater community, receiving suggestions from a diverse pool of people
- Wisdom gathered from the Community Survey and Community Circle Conversations, including both qualitative and quantitative data
- Survey results and real samples of what was shared by the community
- Next steps and top priorities for the project moving forward
Check out the full What We Heard report and learn more about how the stories shared during this phase will combine with the traditional teachings of Snuneymuxw First Nation to create design concepts that prioritize healing the land.
