Employers are late in providing premium increases and payments
The APTS has been informed of additional delays in a number of institutions for the increase in premiums and supplements and the payment of retroactive amounts due in this regard, both of which were supposed to take place no later than October 5, 2024. The pay increase granted to psychologists is also being delayed – it should have taken concrete form by now, but that has not yet happened.
Health and social service employers justify these delays by claiming there are problems with suppliers of payroll systems. But this situation is unacceptable, to put it bluntly. The clauses of your collective agreement have been known for months. And we saw similar problems the last time premiums were adjusted, when your previous collective agreement came into force.
We’re following the situation closely and keeping up the pressure on representatives of the health and social services ministry. You can be sure that we will use every necessary means to ensure that the amounts you are owed are paid, with interest, as soon as possible.
Contact your local union team if you have questions about the payment of these amounts at your institution.
In solidarity,
Your bargaining team
