Recycle Right

Recycle BC is reminding residents in the Province of BC to recycle right and ensure recyclables go in blue carts or to the depot, instead of ending up in nature or the landfill.

You will see messages like this chipmunk reminding you to take home your plastic take-out containers for proper rinsing and recycling after an outdoor dining date.

Emergency Preparedness Week May 1-7

The City of Nanaimo is encouraging residents to prepare for an emergency by making a kit, drafting up a plan and signing up for the City's Voyent Alert! Emergency Notification System. Experience has shown that individual preparedness goes a long way to help people cope better - both during and after a major disaster.
