ZERO WASTE TIP OF THE WEEK

In 2022, 2.5 million plastic takeout cups ended up in the Squamish landfill. Many cafes and eateries in town offer discounts if you bring your own mug and will happily take clean containers to put your order in – just ask!

Compostable and biodegradable cups and containers cannot go into your residential organics bin. While most can go into the recycling bin, using your own containers saves a significant amount of waste.
