Snow tubing and more at Winter O Welcome!

Get connected on campus with Winter O Welcome! With programming spanning January 10 to 29, this event is meant to help students find community, activities, and resources on campus. There will be information sessions for new students and fun activities —like Big White Tubing or Speed Friending— for anyone at UBCO to join.

We recognize there is uncertainty regarding COVID-19 and campus activity, and want to assure you that Winter O Welcome programming has been created in compliance with provincial health standards. Some events have been shifted online, while others remain in-person with appropriate protocol in place. Any further updates will be reflected in the affected event description.

Our first event of SAAM 2022 will be Rest as Resistance on January 11 from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm via Zoom. This event is open to all UBCO students, staff, and faculty who self-identify as Indigenous, Black, or People of Colour.

Come join an hour of rest and rejuvenation as we explore the meaning of doing "nothing". We will be taking time to practice fueling ourselves for stronger solidarity and justice movements.

This heated debate is always a hit. Mark your calendar for January 26 and get ready to cheer on your favourite prof!
