Learn more | | | | Improving Pipeline Road Have your Say on Active Transportation and Safety Share your feedback on future changes to Pipeline Road from Guildford Way to Lincoln Avenue. Next year, the City will upgrade intersections and reallocate space currently used for parking to build a separated micromobility lane. These changes will improve safety for all road users and link key areas in City Centre for active transportation. Learn more | | | Become a Snow Angel This Winter Volunteer and Clear Snowy Sidewalks Near You Winter brings snow and fun, but it can also create challenges for some of your neighbours. By volunteering as a Snow Angel, you can make a big difference by helping those who are unable to shovel their sidewalks this winter. Apply to volunteer either individually or as part of a group. Necessary training and equipment will be provided. Learn more | | | | Be a Junior Firefighter Apply for the Junior Firefighter Program by December 6 Coquitlam Fire/Rescue, in partnership with SD43, is once again offering an opportunity for youth to trial a career in firefighting. In the Junior Firefighter Program, Grade 11 and 12 students take a condensed version of the eight-week basic firefighters' training, covering fire ground drills, rappelling, jaws-of-life training, and more. Learn more | | | Adopt a Catch Basin Help Protect Coquitlam's Waterways Take action now to protect local waterways. By adopting a catch basin, you can help prevent flooding and keep streams clean. Volunteers inspect and clear debris from their catch basins regularly, give them creative names, and log their efforts online. Small tools are available for pickup while supplies last.
