Congratulations to Michel Durand Nollet on his new role as the Ambassador for Odanak, QC! Michel has served as the land manager for his home community for over 15 years and was a long-standing, active member of the FNLMAQL board.

We are also pleased to announce that Jennifer Vollant, Land Manager and Emergency Measures Officer, will be stepping into the role of FNLMAQL Treasurer.

Congratulations to Michel and Jennifer on their new roles! We are grateful to continue working alongside two such dedicated and knowledgeable individuals.

 

Employment Opportunity: Program Administrative Support

The FNLMAQL is hiring! We are looking for an engaged and organized individual to fill a contract position as Program Administrative Support, starting this spring and running through March 31, 2026. This role offers remote work, a flexible schedule, and opportunities for travel within Quebec and across Canada.

PLMCP Level II: French Cohort

September 2025 will mark the launch of the first French-language delivery of the Professional Lands Management Certification Program (PLMCP) Level II!

The FNLMAQL is working closely with NALMA to support the delivery of this technical training, designed to equip French speaking Lands Managers with a deeper understanding of reserve lands in Quebec and the skills needed to manage their community territory effectively and efficiently.

Land Management Tools & Equipment Funding Program

Last month, we relaunched our Tools & Equipment Funding Program. Upgrade your current tools or purchase new equipment to better support your land management department. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t wait!

Tailor-Made Training: Surveying & Mapping

Looking to gain experience with surveying equipment and software? Our Tailor-Made Training: Surveying & Mapping offers funding for professional training to help member communities strengthen their expertise in surveying and mapping.

With limited funding available, we encourage you to apply as early as possible! Let us know what topics your land management team would like to explore and make the most of this opportunity.
