SURVEY FOR KIN'S WEBSITE

Make your voice heard: KIN website

As part of a web project to make improvements to serve you better, we are turning our focus to the KIN website this summer – and we’d love to hear from you! As our current students, we value your opinion and feedback on our website as primary users during your time at UBC. What advice do you have for how we could make it fit your needs more closely?

The survey should take you no longer than 5 minutes to complete, and will help us enormously to improve the informational and visual quality of our site. All responses are confidential and respondents will in no way be identified personally. Plus, those who respond and include their names will be entered into a draw for some KIN swag!

You can find the survey here: https://ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_007w0rvhmkSX7Q9.

UBC Sport Science Symposium 2019

May 3, 8:30AM - 4:30PM | UBC Life Building - Room 2201

The UBC Thunderbirds Sport Science Symposium is a one-day sports science symposium hosting a wide breadth of presenters and attendees across all disciplines and sport science facets at UBC. This symposium aims to build the network amongst students and professionals, highlight ongoing student projects and applied sport research, impart trans-disciplinary knowledge, and inspire further involvement with the department's Integrated Support Team (IST).

Keynote Speaker: UBC grad and 2016 Olympian, Evan Dunfee. For a few hours at Rio 2016, Evan Dunfee was an Olympic bronze medallist in the 50km race walk. After crossing the finish line in fourth place, Evan was upgraded to the podium with the disqualification of Japan’s Hirooki Arai, who had appeared to bump Dunfee in the final kilometre. But after the Jury of Appeal reinstated Arai, Dunfee showed great sportsmanship in letting the issue drop and having the results stand. As a UBC Kinesiology grad (2014) and a firm believer in the power sport has to change lives, Evan has jumped on the opportunity to use his voice to advocate for youth sport, while training towards the podium in Tokyo 2020.
