Watch for Unauthorized Water Use

The Town is seeking the public's help in identifying sources of unauthorized use of the municipal drinking water system. Lost water is costly to the entire community as it results in unnecessary wear on the water treatment and distribution system. Residents are asked to keep the following items in mind:

1. Fire hydrants can only be operated by the Town’s firefighters and licensed water operators

2. Curb stop valves can only be operated by the Town’s licensed water operators

3. Every property must have an approved water meter installed in an accessible location

4. Leaking municipal infrastructure should be reported to the Town's Water Department immediately
