Winter Program registration is almost here! Celebrate the season at Brennan Park Recreation Centre with our range
of all-ages fitness, art, swimming and skating programs, plus holiday activities and events for all to enjoy.

Little Sneakers | 1-5 yrs

Come play, explore and move your body in our playground. Children will enjoy being physically active and making new friends in a safe, social environment filled with slides, climbers, riding toys, sports equipment and more!

Youth Basketball Drop in| 13-18 yrs

Join us for a casual game of hoops.
This drop-in style program is run by our fun program leaders. Pre-registration is required. This program happens at Howe Sound Secondary.

Women's Ice Circuit Training |
19+ yrs

Not ready to jump into our hockey programs just yet? Or simply looking for
a totally different type of workout? We got you! Welcome to circuit training on ice. We've incorporated skating drills with strength training stations on ice for a fun interval training session. Required equipment: skates & helmet (other gear recommended but not necessary)

Active Living Fitness | 55+ yrs

Active Living fitness focuses on exercises catered to your daily activities. Mild cardio, balance, mobility, strength and stretch. Maximize your week with a full body work out catered to those 55yrs+ This course is offered at our Westwinds Facility. Drop-ins welcome if space permits.

ARTS AND CULTURE

Pattern making with linography for textiles | 16yrs

Learn how to create patterns, carve linography blocks, and print onto large scale textiles and papers.

List of supplies:

  • Print a few images that you may like to turn into a print.
  • Any type of fabric or clothing that you want to print on to.
  • All other supplies will be provided.
  • Note: Sharp tools will be used & Please wear clothing that can get messy. Printmaking ink does not wash out!

Fungi Embrodery | 14yrs

Create your own embroidery hoop to hang on your wall or lean on your favourite shelf! Students will learn a small variety of embroidery stitches and will follow a fungi design created by Nic to create their piece. This class will set you up to learn the basics of embroidery so you can go on to create your own designs and explore new stitches!
